Beginning from next year's edition, the Berlin Film Festival will introduce Perspectives, a new competition dedicated to discovering new talent while discontinuing the Encounters section. The Perspectives competition will feature up to 14 fiction debuts from around the world, with a jury awarding the best first feature with a prize of EUR50,000. The festival director, Tricia Tuttle, and other key figures will curate the films selected for this competition, aiming to offer a prominent platform for emerging filmmakers with bold cinematic voices.
