In the Berlin Women's Open final on June 23, 2024, Taiwan's player Chan Hao-ching and her Russian partner Veronika Kudermetova lost to China's pair Zheng Saisai and Wang Xin-yu. Despite breaking serve three times in the second set, Chan and Kudermetova ultimately lost 2-6, 5-7, missing their chance for a second title of the season and allowing the Chinese duo to claim their first title together. The Berlin Women's Open is a WTA 500 series tournament with a total prize money of 802,237 euros. The Taiwanese-Russian duo had secured a guaranteed 24,970 euros as runners-up and were challenging for the champion's prize of 41,210 euros. Although they fell short, their runner-up finish was their best performance since winning the Stuttgart Women's Open in April.
