FTNN News Network, July 2, 2024, 4:09 AM: The Coast Guard Administration's vessel 'New Hsinchu' recently completed its first Pacific Ocean fisheries patrol mission in 2024 and returned to Taipei Port on the 2nd. What stands out is that nearly 30% of the crew on this coast guard ship is made up of women, drawing special attention. Chairperson of the Ocean Affairs Council, Kuan Bi-ling, boarded the vessel to commend the hard work of the crew, especially appreciating the female Coast Guard members onboard. These 10 female coast guard members hold various positions on the 4,000-ton ship, performing tasks from squad leader to engine room, chef, and navigation duty, shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts, symbolizing the best representation of female power in the coast guard.
