Recently, an advertisement on Facebook promoting a children's traffic safety event featuring popular character Poli from the rescue hero series caught parents' attention. The ad promised a $200 registration fee with a $1200 convenience store voucher, but failed to provide details about the event's time and location. When parents inquired further, they were instructed to register through LINE and contact via Facebook, raising red flags. It was later revealed to be a scam, prompting warnings about fraudulent activities targeting children's events. Toy distributor stressed that legitimate events would clearly outline details like time and location, organizer information, and authorized trademarks and logos, distinguishing them from scams. The article also mentions another incident involving a fake endorsement from artist Wang Sijia for a children's learning cutlery set, urging consumers to report and return products purchased from fraudulent websites to curb such deceitful practices.
