The NYSSH policy has introduced new regulations such as limiting each person to using it only once and requiring the signing of a self-occupancy pledge. The policy has led to a surge in property transactions in Taiwan, with over 110,000 units sold in the first four months of the year, the second-highest in nearly 13 years. Despite making loans easier to obtain, the policy is not the main reason for soaring property prices but is a crucial contributing factor. Experts are cautioning individuals to be wary of potential risks and to avoid falling into common traps, such as the potential substantial increase in monthly payments after the grace period ends.
