Earning a six-figure income is no longer seen as the primary indicator of wealth in the U.S.; only 23% of Americans believe it signifies true wealth. Instead, financial security, the ability to live comfortably without money worries, and being debt-free are now viewed as more significant markers of wealth. For many, feeling financially secure may require incomes exceeding $100,000, and nearly half of respondents highlighted being debt-free as a crucial aspect of true financial wellness.
