BHP Group Limited has announced its participation in an industry consortium focused on the development of Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) hubs across Asia. The consortium, which includes major steelmakers such as ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel and Hyundai Steel, aims to explore commercial and technical avenues for implementing CCUS in hard-to-abate sectors. The study is set to conclude in 2026, examining large-scale projects to store or use captured CO2 in industrial processes.
