The Bhutanese film 'No Guns' underwent pre-production and post-production in Taiwan, with 35 days of filming in Bhutan. Despite the remote village Ura having modern facilities like electricity and roads, the film crew had to rent equipment from India and transport them weeks in advance for the shoot. Director Pavo learned to trust local wisdom after a failed attempt to film in September due to unexpected rain, as villagers insisted August was the right time. After following their advice and waiting three days post-harvest, the rain stopped, resulting in a stunning landscape for filming. Pavo now plans to always heed local advice in future Bhutan shoots.
