Following the first debate of the 2024 US presidential election, current President Joe Biden, aged 81, faced doubts about his performance, leading to calls for 'changing Biden' both within and outside the party. Despite this, Biden and his family discussed his election prospects and received unanimous support to continue, especially from his son Hunter Biden. A recent poll by CBS News/YouGov shows 72% of voters believe that Joe Biden's mental and cognitive health make him unfit for the presidency, a significant increase from the previous month's 65%. However, there is division within the Democratic party, with 55% supporting Biden's candidacy and 45% suggesting he should step down.
