According to the latest polls, Joe Biden is leading Donald Trump by 2% in a head-to-head presidential race and by 1% if there are five candidates in the race. The first televised debate between Biden and Trump is set to take place on June 27. Biden's rise in popularity is attributed to voter's high satisfaction with the economy reaching a new high during his term, with 32% of registered voters considering the US economy as 'excellent or good.' However, over half of Americans (68%) still view the economy as 'not very good or poor.' Biden excels in issues related to American democracy, healthcare, abortion, and climate change, while Trump is perceived as more trustworthy, capable of winning debates, having a strong leadership ability, and more reliable in addressing issues like immigration, the economy, war on terror, and gun violence.
