On June 25, 2024, the Taiwan Policy Research Institute (TPOC) released data showing that President Lai Ching-te's favorability ratings on the internet have dropped significantly from 0.51% to 0.22%. Data analyst Zhao Wei-hsiao attributed this drop in ratings to the increase in malicious comments, indicating possible manipulation by opponents' social media accounts. Despite the surge in attention after Lai Ching-te's address regarding constitutional interpretation, his favorability ratings continued to decline. However, positive reactions were observed following his open dialogue on Threads, with many expressing support and admiration for Lai Ching-te.
