Wong Kar-wai's debut TV drama 'Blooming Flowers' continues to dominate the top spot on streaming platforms in its second week, with a surprise guest appearance by a well-known Hong Kong star, Chow Yun-fat, and a meaningful line in reference to Leslie Cheung. In a heated scene at a round table negotiation, the drama also features Tang Yan saving Hu Ge and Xin Zhi Lei standing her ground. The appearance of Chow Yun-fat follows that of Simon Yam, with both being handpicked by Wong Kar-wai for symbolic roles in the series. Chow's dialogue hints at passing the torch to a 'disciple,' reminiscent of Leslie Cheung's role as his student in the 1995 film 'Full Throttle,' paying tribute to the late superstar as one of the Easter eggs in 'Blooming Flowers'.
