Taiwanese tennis player Wang Shuwei won her 35th WTA doubles title at the Birmingham Classic, partnering with Elise Mertens. They defeated the Japanese-Chinese duo of Katō Miyo and Zhang Shuai in the final with a score of 6-1, 6-3. This victory marks Wang's third title of the season and she remains the number one seed in the tournament with Mertens. Wang has had a successful career in doubles, previously winning at Birmingham in 2012 and 2019, and she and Mertens will share a prize of $12,820 USD.
