Dr. Wu Yiru, a medical cosmetologist, highlights the nutritional benefits of black fungus in terms of blood nourishment, anti-aging, prevention of chronic diseases, and blood sugar reduction. Contrary to popular belief, black fungus does not actually contain collagen after cooking, but it is rich in soluble fiber and still offers health advantages. However, nutritionist Li Wanping warns that black fungus may not be suitable for everyone, including those with coagulation disorders, individuals undergoing surgery or dental procedures, and women during menstruation period. It is also advised to consume black fungus with warm foods or ginger for those prone to excessive leukorrhea, to prevent excessive cooling effects.
