BlackRock Abandons Mutual Funds in Favor of ETFs

Reported 2 days ago

BlackRock Inc. is set to convert two of its equity mutual funds, the BlackRock GA Disciplined Volatility Equity Fund and the BlackRock GA Dynamic Equity Fund, into exchange-traded funds (ETFs) named iShares Disciplined Volatility Equity Active ETF and iShares Dynamic Equity Active ETF, effective September 12. This move reflects the growing demand for active ETFs, which have been attracting significant investments as they offer structural advantages over traditional mutual funds, including lower expense ratios and tax benefits. This trend in the financial industry indicates a marked shift towards ETFs as preferred investment vehicles.
