BlackRock Inc. has appointed Yik Ley Chan to head the private credit division in Southeast Asia, marking a significant move in the growing debt market. Based in Singapore, Chan will be in charge of private credit investments in the region, having previously worked at Credit Suisse and then Jefferies Financial Group Inc. BlackRock's Global Private Credit platform manages $85 billion in assets, with the APAC Private Credit Platform investing across various countries in the Asia Pacific region.
