A heatwave in southern Taiwan has led to a blood donation crisis, with people reluctant to go out due to the extreme heat. In one instance, a blood donation vehicle in Kaohsiung only collected 7 bags of blood in a day, setting a new record low. The decrease in blood donors has resulted in a shortage of blood supply in the southern region, particularly A and O blood types. Efforts are being made to encourage more people to donate blood to meet the increasing demand.
