The blood supply in southern Taiwan is in crisis as the blood banks are running empty, with only scattered blood bags left due to the heatwave affecting the region. The medical facilities in the area only have a safe blood supply for about 3.4 days, prompting concerns. The extreme heat has also led to a decrease in blood donations, with only a small number of donors coming forward. The situation is particularly critical for blood types A and O, with the supply dwindling to urgent levels.
