The committee continued to review the draft amendments to the 'Public Officials Election and Recall Law,' despite the controversy over raising recall thresholds in the version under review. Disagreements led to intense conflict in the committee, with Lin Chu-ying of the Democratic Progressive Party being physically assaulted by Kuomintang member Wang Hong-wei, resulting in blood being splattered from Lin's chin.
