The legislature recently passed a parliamentary reform bill, which was subsequently reconsidered by the Executive Yuan. The Legislative Yuan is set to vote on the reconsideration bill. Both the DPP and the KMT have been campaigning on the streets regarding the parliamentary reform controversy. DPP legislator Wu Si-yao stated that her party will abide by the rules of the chamber and will not boycott maliciously, calling for a respectful and rational voting process and mutual respect among citizens with differing perspectives outside the parliament.
