During a vote in the Legislative Yuan, the revision proposal regarding the exercise of powers act and the Criminal Code of the Republic of China was rejected with 62 votes in favor of maintaining the original resolution and 51 votes against. The proposal, brought by the Executive Yuan in regards to parliamentary reform legislation, was voted down as the blue and white camp had a numerical advantage. The proposal aimed to revise certain articles of the Legislative Yuan's exercise of powers act including regular interactive Q&A sessions for the President's national reports, and imposing a fine of up to NT$200,000 for those disrespecting the parliament.
