In the legislative session on June 21, 2024, the blue and white factions voted against the reconsideration proposed by the Executive Yuan for the Parliamentary Reform Bill, with 62 votes rejecting the reconsideration based on their numerical advantage. The Presidential Office spokesperson, Guo Yahui, stated that both the Executive Yuan and the DPP caucus in the Legislative Yuan plan to file for a constitutional interpretation following the reconsideration result. The President will carefully evaluate whether to apply for a constitutional interpretation upon receiving the consultation document. The decision is respected by the Presidential Office.
