Chung Tung-chin, the independent Miaoli County Magistrate friendly to the blue camp, expressed doubts about the success rate of the Kuomintang's proposed amendment to the 'Fiscal Planning Law,' which aims to allocate 5 billion in tax revenue to local counties and cities, potentially sparking the next focal point of confrontation between the ruling and opposition parties. Miaoli County Council's Kuomintang caucus supported the proposed amendment, estimating that Miaoli could receive an additional 20 billion per year, but Chung Tung-chin likened the potential outcome to dreaming, as the likelihood of success is not high.
