The Ministry of Economy recently revoked Taoyuan City Government's administrative penalties, allowing 3 SRF power plants to enter the Taoyuan Science and Technology Industrial Park as originally permitted. In response, Kuomintang lawmaker Tu Quan-Ji vowed to lead Taoyuan residents in surrounding the Ministry of Economy in protest, even hinting at obstructing the construction of SRF power plants in the park. The Kuomintang caucus criticized the Ministry of Economy for reviving the SRF power plants, accusing them of playing both sides and disregarding the decision made by the Taoyuan City Government. Tu Quan-Ji also raised concerns over the loose definition of renewable energy and high emissions standards related to the SRF industry, emphasizing the lack of transparency and public consultation involved in the process.
