During an interview, Democratic Progressive Party legislator Ko Chien-ming, the convener of the DPP legislative caucus, criticized KMT legislator Lo Chih-chiang's remark of the Chief Justice being 'a guard dog' as very impolite and malicious. Ko also revealed that an application for constitutional interpretation has been prepared with six major reasons, expressing confidence in the outcome post the failure of the parliamentary reform bill. Ko questioned why the KMT and TPP were against the people, the Constitution, and the Chief Justice, suggesting that they want to be associated with China and are afraid of constitutional interpretation. Ko further mentioned that the application for constitutional interpretation and temporary measures have been prepared, with caucus members having completed the signatures, ready to be submitted promptly. Ko emphasized the importance of respecting the Chief Justice and the constitutional interpretation as the ultimate defense mechanism against unconstitutional actions.
