A body was found floating under Hua Jiang Pier in Banqiao District, New Taipei City on June 16, 2024. The body, severely swollen, awaits identification as authorities have contacted a funeral home for assistance. Details of the incident are still under investigation. The deceased, a male wearing black outerwear and pants, had no identification on him. Authorities are collecting fingerprints for missing persons comparison and have transported the body to the New Taipei City Funeral Parlor for further examination and identification verification.
