In December 2023, a Boeing 737 Max aircraft operated by Ryanair experienced a sudden and rapid descent of about 610 meters in just 17 seconds while preparing to land at London Stansted Airport, causing a scare among the nearly 200 passengers on board. The aircraft's nose was reportedly pointing downward at a speed of 516 kilometers per hour during the final approach. Fortunately, the pilot managed to abort the landing and ascend again, eventually landing safely with no injuries reported. This incident adds to the series of safety concerns surrounding Boeing 737 Max planes in recent years.
