Executives from Boeing and Spirit AeroSystems will testify at a National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) hearing regarding the January incident involving a door plug blowout on an Alaska Airlines 737 MAX 9, which had four missing bolts. The two-day hearing will address manufacturing and inspection processes, safety management, and quality control, with several FAA officials also appearing as witnesses. Boeing has faced scrutiny for its oversight practices and compliance issues, especially after previous fatal incidents involving the 737 MAX.
