On July 3, 2024, a hotel broker was reported to have boldly entered Shih Hsin University in April, leaving behind recruitment messages. The incident involved five men in their 20s entering a classroom, writing phrases like 'Joining the Big Eight' and 'Replacement' on the whiteboard, and providing an Instagram account for students to follow, attempting to recruit new personnel for hotel PR work. Despite the police involvement, the court ultimately decided not to penalize the men, leading Taipei City Police's Wenshan First Precinct to announce that they will appeal to maintain campus order, despite the university not pressing charges. The men's actions were criticized for disrupting campus peace and order, with some netizens mockingly referring to them as 'Big Eight monkeys invading Shih Hsin University for recruitment.'
