Bond ETF Retail Investors Benefit 8.7 Times

Reported 9 months ago

In the past, institutional investors dominated the subscription of a bond ETF, but with ETF investing becoming popular, particularly in U.S. bond ETFs attracting middle-class financial planning with signals of U.S. rate cuts, the number of individual beneficiaries of domestic bond ETFs surged by 8.7 times from January last year to now, while institutional beneficiaries increased by 2.2 times. The structure of beneficiaries changed notably as retail investors flooded into bond ETFs, with the total number of beneficiaries growing from 17.56 thousand individuals and 2,293 institutions in January last year to 170.39 thousand individuals and 7,422 institutions by the end of May this year, marking an 8.7 times and 2.2 times increase respectively.
