Police in Taipei received a report on June 18th that a Texas hold'em poker casino in a basement on Guanfu South Road was operating illegally under the guise of a bar, with the surprising revelation that the backer of the casino was 'I.C. Charlie,' a famous poker player and the boyfriend of the popular YouTuber Diba. Diba responded on Instagram following the incident. The police acted on a tip-off and arrested 24 individuals, including the operation's head 'Xiao Liu,' dealers, staff, and gamblers, on charges of gambling and violating social order laws. Diba clarified on IG that she had no involvement in the illegal gambling, emphasizing that she does not support such activities and has never been part of any gambling operations.
