A relationship dispute escalated to the police in Sanzhong, New Taipei City, when a man surnamed Cai got upset that his girlfriend was getting too close with someone else. Outraged, he confronted her in public, leading to a heated argument where both parties wielded weapons – the boyfriend with a saw and aluminum rod, and the other person with a hammer. When the police arrived, they tried to deceive them by claiming it was a car accident. Eventually, after further questioning, the woman confessed that the boyfriend was jealous and accused her of having an affair with the other man. Despite their attempt to justify carrying the 'tools' for self-defense, they were all fined for their exaggerated behavior of waving weapons at each other during the confrontation on the street.
