At 11:56 am on June 10th, a Richter magnitude 5.1 earthquake hit Hualien County, originating in the eastern sea area of Taiwan. The earthquake was felt in 12 counties and cities, with the highest intensity recorded in Hualien County, Yilan County, and Zhanghua, registering at level 2. The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 45.6 kilometers.
