A 19-year-old male driver did not slow down upon entering the Yangmei rest area, causing a chain reaction accident involving 7 cars and injuring 3. The driver, surnamed Xie, was using cruise control on the highway when he failed to reduce speed, leading to the collision. Two individuals were sent to the hospital for minor injuries. Police reminded drivers to pay attention to road conditions and not rely excessively on assistance systems while driving.
