Reported about 1 year ago
On July 4, 2024, at around 1 pm, a serious accident occurred in the Hsinchu Giant City parking lot where a 70-year-old man's small van allegedly experienced brake failure while leaving the fourth floor, causing it to collide with another vehicle and flip over. The man and a mother-daughter duo in the other vehicle were trapped, but were successfully rescued by security personnel and sent to Mackay Memorial Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, they only suffered minor injuries. The parking lot staff redirected vehicles and called for a tow truck to clear the area, with traffic resuming at 3 pm. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
