A male surnamed Ke (39 years old) was riding a heavy motorcycle along Han Sheng East Road towards Zhonghe direction around 8 p.m. in New Taipei City when he accidentally collided with a bridge pillar on the side of the road at the intersection of Haishan Road and Han Sheng East Road. The motorcycle was severely damaged from the impact, and when paramedics arrived, Ke was already unresponsive. He was rushed to Far Eastern Memorial Hospital for emergency treatment but unfortunately did not survive. Police were on the scene to investigate and review surveillance footage of the intersection, while the exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.
