As the Dragon Boat Festival 3-day holiday began on the afternoon of June 5, around 6 pm, an accident occurred at 87.2km on the southbound side of National Freeway No.1 at Hukou section, where a minivan collided with the inner lane, resulting in a severe 5km traffic jam. Highway police are on-site handling the accident, and the Expressway Bureau urges drivers to be cautious or consider alternative routes.
