According to Central Weather Bureau, on June 27, 2024, at 12:38 AM, extreme heat alerts have been issued for 18 counties and cities, with Pingtung County under a red warning sign, potentially reaching 38 degrees. The Bureau advised people to stay away from high-temperature environments and take necessary precautions to prevent heat-related illnesses. Other areas under various warning signs include Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Hsinchu County, Changhua County, Nantou County, Yunlin County, among others.
