As the hot weather persists, a construction worker in his 40s at a building site in Banqiao, New Taipei City, collapsed on the scaffold during glass construction work on the 15th floor, likely due to heat stroke. Despite being rushed to Asia University Hospital for treatment, the worker was pronounced dead earlier. The exact cause of death is pending investigation by authorities.
