On June 21, 2024, at 9:43 am, CTi News reported that this afternoon, the Chiayi County Fire Department received a report from the public, suspecting a corpse in the restroom next to the Peitian Temple in Puzi. Police and firefighters rushed to the scene, confirmed the person was deceased, immediately cordoned off the area, and have begun collecting evidence. Witnesses revealed the deceased was suspected of consuming alcohol and drugs in the restroom before. Further investigation is needed to determine the exact cause of death.
