According to the Central Weather Bureau, there is intense convective cloud activity in the afternoon leading to heavy rain warnings in Nantou County and Taichung City with additional rainstorm alerts issued for 13 counties and cities, including a mountainous downpour in Taiping District, Taichung. The warnings are in effect until 6:15 pm with cautions for severe rainfall, lightning, flash floods, landslides, and rockfalls. Specific disaster prevention alerts were issued for certain areas in Nantou County. The rainstorm alerts cover a wide geographical range from north to south. Stay safe during this inclement weather.
