Early in the morning on June 26, 2024, a traffic accident occurred at 82.9K on Taiwan Provincial Highway No. 2 in Ruifang District, New Taipei City. A container truck, for unknown reasons, crashed through a fence and flipped over a 3-meter-high coast slope. Emergency services arrived at the scene and found the driver showing no signs of life. Rescue efforts are underway, and the exact cause of the accident is pending further investigation.
