A residential house on Wuguang Road in Uji District, Taichung City caught fire unexpectedly around 1:23 pm today (June 29th). Firefighters and police arrived within 20 minutes to control the blaze, but a charred body was discovered in the bedroom on the first floor during cleanup. As authorities have not contacted the victim's family, the identity of the deceased and the cause of the fire are still under investigation.
