On June 16, 2024, at 9:33 am, according to CTI News, the deputy chief surnamed Hong of Ximen Police Station's reserve dormitory passed away unexpectedly. Just 4 days ago, he had celebrated his birthday joyfully with friends. Hong had been praised in 2016 for catching robbers by the former chief of Hsinchu City Police Bureau. Known as 'Pork Chop,' he was optimistic and sociable. His sudden passing has left friends and colleagues in disbelief, with the cause still under investigation.
