Breaking News: Fraudulent Driver in Neihu District of Taipei Refuses Arrest, Rams Police During Chase, Opens Fire and Escapes

On June 25, 2024 at 5:16 AM, the Taipei Neihu police were investigating a fraud case where the victim handed over 1 million NTD to the fraudulent driver. When confronted at a convenience store on Lane 2 of Neihu Road, special task force members identified themselves, prompting the suspect to flee in a car. The police launched a pursuit. The suspect refused inspection, rammed civilian vehicles and police motorcycles, and even after being fired upon twice, managed to continue fleeing. No casualties were reported. By noon, the suspect's vehicle was found, and the identity of the suspect has been determined, with a continued manhunt underway.
