On June 18, 2024, the League of Legends servers experienced a major issue, causing a 'global crisis' with players facing disconnections. Many players were unable to log into the game lobby or experienced errors leading to frozen screens. Frustrated players took to forums to express their anger, with some suspecting issues with the anti-cheat program 'Vanguard' as a potential cause. While some players have managed to resume gameplay, frequent disconnections and crashes persist. League of Legends officials have not yet addressed the situation, despite the increase in error reports according to monitoring site 'Downdetector'.
