Taiwan's Central Weather Bureau issued a heatwave alert at 11:33 AM today, with an orange warning at 38 degrees for Yunlin County, and an orange warning at 36 degrees for New Taipei City, Keelung City, Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Changhua County, Nantou County, Chiayi County, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, and Pingtung County. Hsinchu County, Chiayi City, Hualien County, and Taitung County are under a yellow warning. The bureau urged people to avoid going out as a dust-bearing wind has been reported in Taitung County and to beware of heat injuries.
