Central Weather Bureau issued a heatwave alert at 7:26 am today, with an orange warning of 38 degrees for Taitung County, and yellow warnings (36 degrees) for Taipei City, New Taipei City, and Hualien County. Due to the influence of southwest winds, Taitung may experience extreme high temperatures reaching 38 degrees around noon, while Taipei City, New Taipei City, and Hualien County should also be cautious.
