Due to strong convection in the afternoon, the Central Weather Bureau issued a heavy rain advisory for 16 counties and cities nationwide, prompting a national-level alert for Taipei, New Taipei, and Taoyuan. As a result, the Taipei MRT Wenhu Line experienced signaling abnormalities suspected to be caused by a lightning strike, leading to a temporary suspension of services. After emergency repairs, the line has resumed operation. The Taipei Metro continues to monitor train operations, with some sections operating normally and bus shuttles activated on other sections. Maintenance crews are assessing the equipment malfunctions possibly caused by the thunderstorm, and a detailed investigation will follow after the service hours. The Wenhu Line resumed normal operation at 3:42 pm with adjusted schedules to enhance passenger transport.
