On June 23, 2024, at around 7 a.m. in Taipei's Shilin District, a man named Zhang, affiliated with the 'Electronic Gang,' was arrested for attacking a taxi driver with a 49cm samurai sword. Zhang had earlier tried to stop a taxi using the sword and later stabbed the driver after being refused a ride, then proceeded to damage the taxi. Known for past disruptive behavior, including late-night loud music, scaring neighbors with a toy gun, and reckless driving, Zhang faces charges of attempted murder and has a history of drug offenses. The incident has left the local community relieved as Zhang is taken into custody.
